Whether in zoological parks, natural history museums, through photographs, or in nature, I’ve always found joy and comfort in studying the silhouettes and textures of these intelligent and vulnerable beings.
This edition is an excerpt from a series of drawings I’ve been working on, which brings these creatures together in the rain. It is, in a way, a meeting point between my research into precipitation and the animal kingdom, for which I feel a profound empathy.
It goes beyond empathy, really. I feel indebted to them. And in truth, I believe we all are.”
